MAX GREENhalgh

MANAGER

I have been lucky enough to be a part of the BodyWorld team since 2017, enjoying a great 2 and a half years at our Taunton site before making the move down to Plymouth.

Prior to working at BodyWorld, I combined my studies (FdSc Sports Science with Coaching) with 4 years of work in a GP Referral clinic as a Fitness Instructor and PT, giving me a depth of knowledge and great experience in rehabilitation and recovery from injuries, operations, and other ailments. I have worked with ages 4 to 94, with a variety of goals, from complete beginners to professional athletes.

Feel free to grab me on the gym floor and fire away any questions that you may have, I will do my best to help and advise, or point you the direction of somebody who can.

emily rockey

FITNESS INSTRUCTOR

Hi, I’m Emily!

I’m in my final year of studying BSc Sports Therapy at University. While studying I have gained a greater understanding and knowledge of the rehabilitation processes used to facilitate individuals back to maximum strength and fitness, additionally gaining my PT Level 3 qualification. Within my university experience I have had the chance to work within both sporting and clinical environments, having the opportunity to work with various football clubs rehabilitating their athletes back to their optimum levels.

I am also currently running my own sports therapy business, creating online videos focusing on rehabilitation and prehabilitation strategies as well as strengthening techniques that can be used when training within the gym.

If anyone has any queries or concerns, don’t hesitate to grab me, so we can enhance your gym experience and help fix any injuries that you may have.

JORDAN BROWN

FITNESS INSTRUCTOR

Hey I’m Jordan!

I’m a fitness instructor, personal trainer and online coach. I’ve always been involved in fitness from a young age, playing football for 10 years to now having over 10 years training experience as well as over 5 years experience as a PT.

Since college I’ve always wanted to work in an industry that helps people and I’m fortunate enough that I can do that with something I’m passionate about. I’ve worked with people from all sorts of backgrounds with a large variety of goals. I like to give a very clear approach to fitness and nutrition whilst helping people feel more comfortable and confident in the gym.

I’ve always had a keen interest in the way I look which has developed into a passion for bodybuilding, having competed twice at regional and national levels.

I’m very easy going and approachable if you ever need a spot or have any questions, please feel free to ask!

GEORGE JARMAN

FITNESS INSTRUCTOR

Hi I’m George,

I am currently studying a masters (MSc) in Strength and Conditioning at St Marys Twickenham.

I have played sport at various levels (predominantly, rugby, cricket, and weightlifting), which has driven me to gain an understanding of how the body works both physiologically and biomechanically.

My goal is to gain a strong grasp on how to reach peak performance. I have worked with several teams – such as Melbourne University – and individuals – such as boxers, tri athlete – in a strength and conditioning capacity, with the aim of enhancing their sporting performance.

Additionally, I have a degree (BSc) in Sport Science and a Level 4 in Strength and Conditioning. I have spent a long period of time training in Olympic lifting, powerlifting and in sport specific environments.

My goal as a coach is to help improve athletic performance, teach lifelong fitness and movement skills, and improve general quality of life.

RHIANNA MORGAN

FITNESS INSTRUCTOR

Hi, I’m Rhianna, I am a fitness instructor here at BodyWorld Plymouth.

I have been involved in fitness in one way or another since school when I started playing netball both socially and competitively. This lasted 5 years before I found a love for weightlifting and joined a gym to build my strength, transform my appearance and overcome those small insecurities that made daily tasks feel impossible to complete. I now have 5 years’ weight training experience and feel like a new and improved version of myself. I also have a background in chef work, meaning I have 3 years of experience and knowledge around nutrition, and the foods we eat and the effects they can have on our training and recovery.

It was hiring a Personal trainer of my own that drove me to work towards becoming one myself. Seeing the difference, they can make in people’s lives, how you can lift someone up re-build them to become the best versions of themselves that they can and be the shoulder to lean on that I wish I had when I first started my own fitness journey.

I have attained my level 2 fitness instructor certificate and am currently working my way through the level 3 personal training qualification. I am very passionate about what I do, and love to share my knowledge, own experiences both highs and lows with others and will strive to help you in any way I can, I am very friendly and approachable so please give me a shout at any time if you ever need a hand with anything, and I will do my best to guide you or point you in the direction of someone that can meet your needs to the highest ability. As a PT you never stop learning. The more I can help you, the more you will help me! It’s all about teamwork.

MICK DEVEREUX

GYM ASSISTANT

Hi, I’m Mick!

I was introduced into sports at a young age, in particular football and basketball, but climbing was where I found my passion. I have taken inspiration from Muhammad Ali and Bruce Lee, showing what can be achieved when being truly dedicated to their craft, this inspired me to take up Shotokan Karate. This has led me onto wanting to pursue my own fitness journey and career. I left college with a level 3 extended diploma in sport, with a view to studying sports rehabilitation at university in the future.

Originally not feeling confident in the gym when starting out, I have learned to love it. I have found it to be a place where I can grow not only physically but emotionally as well.

I am currently enjoying pushing myself in a variety of challenges in the gym and continuing to progress while doing so.

NINA RASIC

SoCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Hi, I’m Nina, I’m a Gym assistant and head of social media across the BodyWorld sites.

My love for training came from my Mum’s background in competitive Power lifting when she opened a gym in the 80’s. She inspired me to want to be a strong female and challenge myself in all aspects of life. I’ve been weight training for 8 years. I took an interest in bodybuilding a few years ago, when I went to watch one of my friends compete, I was in awe at how people could transform their bodies in such a way and the time and discipline it took to get there really awoke a passion in me to see what I am capable of. I plan to compete in the near future and I am lucky enough to work and train in the best gym in the south west with the most supportive team to encourage me every step of the way.

I have not always been very confident in a gym environment, it can be daunting starting out and not knowing a thing about training and for an anxious person like me it was a struggle. Once I educated myself on how to perform exercises correctly and I consistently showed up to the gym, my confidence grew! With that, my mental health also improved massively and it’s a huge reason why I made training an integral part of my lifestyle.

One of my goals as social media manager is to help create a community for everyone at BodyWorld to feel connected and supported throughout their individual fitness journeys, as well as grow a platform where we can celebrate our members and continue to improve our gyms reputation as the biggest and best gym in the South West!

If you think someone deserves a shout out or have any suggestions about how we can improve your experience here then please grab me in the gym and we can have and chat!
